BharatSurv design philosophy

More precision.
Less excess.

We design GNSS RTK tools around the capabilities surveyors use most: dependable RTK performance, ruggedness, and meaningful value in the field.

01

Start with what
really matters.

We went to the core of what makes GNSS equipment prohibitively costly, and the answer led us down a rabbit hole. There are many features and internal components that are rarely used in everyday survey work. Many began in high-end systems and then became accepted as essential across the wider manufacturing ecosystem.

That is where we set our priorities: RTK FIX even beneath thick foliage and ruggedness. The BharatSurv GNSS RTK Rover uses a modular approach with the minimum viable feature set needed to achieve those goals—the proverbial bigger bang for the buck.

“RTK FIX even beneath thick foliage, with ruggedness by design.”
02

Choose durability over
unnecessary complexity.

Lithium-ion batteries can lose useful capacity over the years, especially with irregular charging and discharging cycles. Rather than build an internal battery into the Rover, we use standard, commercially available power banks. The rugged industrial nylon body is built for years of field use.

Tilt compensation, radio links, and lasers can add significant cost but may not be useful for most users. We have deliberately left them out. Where a surveyor genuinely needs one of these capabilities, we work with partner companies to make it available.

03

Make corrections
more accessible.

CORS subscription charges and coverage are the elephant in the room. Conventional services can provide limited coverage or cost up to ₹6,000 per month. BharatSurv addresses this with the GNSS InstaBase.

GNSS InstaBase includes two years of subscription at no extra charge, helping recover a substantial part of its cost. After that, the subscription is up to ₹500 per month.*

04

Keep the path to
highest accuracy open.

Our Post Processing service uses InstaBase observations to determine base coordinates to the highest degree of accuracy, at ₹10 per minute of observation.
