This policy explains how the BharatSurv Rover Android app handles information required to activate a rover, manage a BharatSurv base, and deliver GNSS correction services.

Information used by the app

• Activation and rover identity: activation code, installation identifier, rover ID, and credentials needed to obtain configuration and correction-service access.
• Correction-service data: selected base ID, RTCM correction traffic, and GGA position sentences when SW Maps supplies them. GGA may contain precise location information and is used only to deliver the requested GNSS correction service.
• Base-management data: Bluetooth device identity and a locally stored base passkey. Wi-Fi name and password are sent over Bluetooth only when you choose to provision the selected base.
• Optional recordings: RTCM recordings and ZIP archives are saved to the BharatSurv folder in your phone's Downloads storage. You control whether to record, share, or delete them.

Security and storage

Rover activation and MQTT credentials are protected on the phone with Android Keystore encryption. BharatSurv uses encrypted network connections for the rover configuration service and correction-service connection. The app does not contain advertising or sell personal information.

Retention and deletion

Local recordings remain on your phone until you delete them. BharatSurv retains service-side activation and operational records only for as long as needed to provide, secure, support, and meet applicable legal obligations for the service.
